Suspended Vessels

i began an effort to create turnings that were less traditional in that I would create a vessel and then add legs to the vessel. It offered the ability to create different shapes and to experiement with the process of building and shaping the legs. This the base wood in this piece is Pear, with Holly accents. The legs are from laminated Pear.


This piece is from Mahagony with accents from Holly, Bloodwood, and Tourquoise. The legs are shaped from laminated Holly, which gives them strength.
